What a dry herb vaporizer is — and what it isn't

A dry herb vaporizer heats plant material to the point where its aromatic compounds turn to vapour, below the point of combustion — nothing is set alight and nothing turns to ash. Temperature control

3. Refit the mouthpiece, switch on and pick a temperature. The device heats in seconds.
4. Draw slowly and steadily — convection devices respond to the pace of your inhale, and slow draws pull more hot air through the chamber.

When the vapour thins and the flavour fades, the load is spent — the material comes out browned rather than blackened, which is the visible difference between vaporizing and burning.
