Nicotine Information

Nicotine is an extremely addictive substance and can cause the following side-effects:

  • Headache
  • Coughing
  • Irritation of the mouth or throat
  • Dizziness
  • Nasal congestion
  • Stomach discomfort
  • Hiccups
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Chest palpitations/ Abnormal heart rate
  • Stomach discomfort
  • Hiccups

Nicotine should NOT  be used if you are pregnant or breast-feeding or suffering (or have suffered from in the past) any of the following health issues:

  • Stomach ulcer
  • Duodenal Ulcer
  • Inflammation of the stomach or oesophagus (passgae between the mouth and stomach)
  • Liver or kidney disease
  • Long term throat disease
  • Difficulty breathing including bronchitis, emphysema or asthma
  • Overactive thyroid gland
  • Pheochromocytoma
  • Diabetes

Or if you are taking any of the following medication:

  • Theophylline
  • Clozapine
  • Ropinirole

Stopping smoking or cutting down may require the dose of these medicines to be adjusted.

Nicotine Withdrawal

  • Nicotine withdrawal may cause the following side effects:
  • Irritability
  • Aggression
  • Low mood
  • Anxiety
  • Restlessness
  • Poor concentration
  • Increased appetite/weight gain
  • Urges to smoke (craving)
  • Sleep disturbance
  • Lowering of heart rate

Nicotine Poisoning can occur. Symptoms of this include:

  • Feeling faint/dizzy
  • Feeling sick/nausea
  • Headache/migraine

If you experience any of the above symptoms then cease use of your nicotine-containing product immediately and seek medical advice.


Always store e-liquid below 25 degrees Celsius in a clean, dry place, out of reach and sight of children and animals.
